MESSAGE FROM RABBI KEAN
Dear CBAJ Family,
On behalf of Congregation Beth Abraham-Jacob, I would like to wish you and your family a restful and meaningful Shabbat.
Please join me in welcoming Rabbi Moshe Kornblum ("Rav Moish") to Albany for what will be a wonderful scholar-in-residence Shabbat! We are so thankful that Rav Moish is able to join us for a Shabbos full of learning and connection.
As I am sure many of you are as well, I am shocked and horrified by the despicable arson attack on the Adass Israel synagogue in a suburb of Melbourne, Australia. Our tefilot and our thoughts are with the Jewish community in Melbourne and Australia generally. May the perpetrators be swiftly brought to justice as we are reminded that of the dangers of the rise in antisemitism around the world.
It is my belief that the best way to respond to horrific, antisemitic hatred and violence is with even greater passion and commitment to everything that we love about being Jewish and our commitment to Torah and the Jewish people.
Am Yisrael Chai.
Shabbat Shalom, Rabbi Ben Kean
