MESSAGE FROM RABBI KEAN
On behalf of Congregation Beth Abraham-Jacob, I would like to wish you and your family a meaningful and restful Shabbat.
What an exciting weekend we have coming up at CBAJ!
First, I look forward to joining you in learning from Rabbi Sam Shor this Shabbat.
And this Sunday: I look forward to celebrating our Hachnasat Sefer Torah, dedicating the Elliot Menchel Torah for CBAJ, with all of you. Dedicating a new Torah is a truly momentous occasion, and I hope that we can share it with the broader Jewish community here in the Capital District.
I look forward to seeing you soon!
Finally, we note with sadness the fourth anniversary on the Gregorian calendar of the Tree of Life Massacre in Pittsburgh this past week (Oct. 27, Hebrew date 18 Marcheshvan). The Tree of Life Massacre was the deadliest anti-Semitic attack on US soil. We remember the 11 victims, may their memories be for a blessing: Joyce Fienberg Richard Gottfried Rose Mallinger Jerry Rabinowitz Cecil & David Rosenthal Bernice & Sylvan Simon Daniel Stein Melvin Wax Irving Younger
Shabbat Shalom, Rabbi Ben Kean
